LovePuppy was founded in 2001 with a global outlook and a local mission. In her former career as a professional athlete, LovePuppy's founder Pat Keller had the privilege of visiting many countries around the world. During her travels, she inevitably encountered homeless, skinny, uncared for dogs. She would save all the food scraps she could, seek out the the skinniest dogs she could find, and feed them a good meal. Upon her return from one such trip, she was inspired to create LovePuppy. Keller now works every day with some of the luckiest pets in the world, and loves to see a happy, healthy, loved pet.

LovePuppy's vision is to help end the tragedy of unwanted pets. Spaying and neutering is central to this solution, as well as education. The average pet stays in a family for only 5 years, while most pets live for 10 years or more. Adopting a dog or cat is a long term commitment. LovePuppy believes every pet deserves a loving home, and works with organizations such as San Diego’s Labrador Rescuers to help make this dream a reality for pets in our area.

Working closely with pets for so many years has given LovePuppy unique insights into the needs of the animals and their owners. This has resulted in a growing line of innovative products for pets and stylish apparel for their owners.
